Bucine
Bucine is at the extreme of the Chianti hills, up to touch the upper valley dell'Arno along the path of the torrent Ambra. The territory of the Municipality of Bucine had settlements, and has been in the past a place often transited during the Roman period. The village is situated in a sweet spot, a short distance from the main centres more important as Florence, Arezzo and Siena. In the past, the location has occupied a particularly important role together with Valdambra especially from Romanesque onwards. In the Middle Ages, however, the town was marked by the powerful families who had control.
